There
are three well-equipped silversmithing workshops at Wolds Silver
The
main, metal-working workshop
is
in the house |
Silver
and gold are unique in the field of hand-crafting metals, standing
head and shoulders
above
the rest. Once you have worked in either of these two metals, you
will find it difficult
to
revert to other base metals. They are also very clean metals to work with. |
|
Silver
can be beaten to shape, cast and fabricated by soldering many parts together |
|
|
Two
other workshops are available
The
second workshop is used for soldering and lightwork machining using
two lathes and
a
press drill. |
 |
The
third workshop is used mainly for polishing.
Silver
takes well to surface decoration and, with care, a superb surface
polish can be achieved.
