MOOSE - Alces alces - European or Asian elk - height can be up to 2.35m Silver - Weight approximately 81g. £1057 Gold/9ct. - Weight approximately 83g. £1415 Gold/18ct. - Weight approximately 120g. £2200 Each sculpture is handmade using 1.5mm. diameter silver, or 9ct./18ct. gold wire, and sheet for the hooves and well as for the the moose antlers. Wire (2.0mm diameter) is used for the elk antler. The construction follows a similar pattern to that of the galloping horse. All joints are silver soldered and each sculpture is hallmarked by the London Assay Office. Silver will tarnish under normal circumstances and gold plating is available if required.
