Accommodation Wolds Silver

Spend a few days, a week or a weekend, whenever you like, deep in glorious Ryedale - working on silver* in fully equipped workshops. Accommodation and hospitality is of the highest order, so if you happen to be a fanatic for pre-cooked junk food then please don't bother coming! The accommodation includes all meals, tuition and, most important, gallons of tea and coffee. Also, all the bedrooms have their own tea and coffee making facilities. Since only two people can be accommodated at any one time you will receive a great deal of personal tuition. Wolds Silver is situated in a small hamlet of some seventeen houses set on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds and overlooks York in the distance. This is the Ryedale District of North Yorkshire, some six hundred square miles of rich and varied countryside. The many narrow lanes connecting small villages make this an ideal cycling area.

York, within easy motoring distance, is a fascinating city with a great deal of historical interest to the visitor. Malton, to the north and Pocklington to the South are two market towns worth visiting. Castle Howard, a magnificent country house, is some eight miles away and should certainly be paid a visit.

You are probably wondering what can be produced in a couple of days. It is far more than most people think. A simple pair of ear-rings can be made in an hour or so. A spoon in an afternoon and a teapot in about five to seven days.
