Wolds Silver is perfect for taking a well deserved, relaxing, activity holiday or a short vacation. Silversmithing is carried out in three well equipped workshops in a friendly and helpful atmosphere. Beginners or experienced silversmiths are all made welcome. The accommodation and food are excellent. The location in the Yorkshire wolds is idyllic - York is within easy reach. Vincent and Margaret Ashworth are your hosts. Individual tuition is an important feature of Wolds Silver. Make almost anything you like in silver or gold. Spoons and napkin rings are relatively easy, but coffee pots take a 'bit' more time! Wolds Silver can accommodate up to four people. We like to know, in general terms, what you have in mind to make before you arrive, so that Vincent can think about any potential 'difficult bits' and also to order the silver, since precious metals are not kept on the premises. Vincent also arranges lectures, demonstrations and conducts short courses at colleges in the UK. Commissions are welcome; anything from napkin rings to chess sets, or perhaps one of Vincent's magnificent silver wire sculptures of animals would be more to your taste?
